It deserves its 3 stars. The view from our family room was beautiful. For dinner, we went to Laoma Rice Noodles, it was minutes away from the venue.

M on the Bund, where you can eat, is only a short distance to the hotel. Room was huge. Easy to get around Shanghai with a train station located right by the venue. The view from the window was great!
